DTS holds a PhD in scientific documentation from the UGR. Professor of the Dept. of Information and Communication and director of the Scientific Evaluation Unit of the Vice-Rectorate for Research and Transfer. He is a researcher in the Evaluation of Science and Scientific Communication Research Group (EC3) on bibliometric issues. He is CEO of EC3metrics spin-off and responsible for the Digital Science line at Medialab UGR. He is co-creator of evaluation tools such as Científicacvn, Rankings I-UGR, CIRC Ranking, Bipublishers or UGRinvestiga. He has more than 70 scientific publications in the Web of Science database. He teaches courses on scientific communication and publication, altmetrics, research careers, etc.... He teaches at the European Summer School for Scientometrics (ESSS) and the Master in Scientific Information and Communication. Research topics: Scientific Evaluation, Bibliometrics, Altmetrics, Scientific Communication, Information Sources.
