This course is divided into two sessions, which will be held on October 13 and 27
SciELO is one of the most important open science projects given its geographical presence in Latin America and South Africa and also its history. However, comprehensive scientometric analyses with it were difficult given its presentation as an unstructured dataset. Here we present how to query and collect global data from SciELO using it as an example of a scientific database that can be turned into a structured and relational database. The techniques and tools using Google Big Query can be put to use in many other similar repositories.
