María Elena Higueruelo is an FPU pre-doctoral fellow in the Department of Literary Theory and Comparative Literature at the University of Granada, where she graduated in Comparative Literature with a Master's degree in Literary and Theatre Studies. Her research interests revolve around contemporary poetry, mainly in Spanish and English. In her work she addresses issues related to interpretative problems and aspects of lyric theory in general, paying special attention to experimental and hybrid poetics and the negativity of poetic language. He is currently preparing a doctoral thesis in which he studies these issues in relation to the poetic work of the Canadian author Anne Carson.
